We drove up to Kooljaman, not knowing what was on offer except relaxing, which was readily available! My husband and sons did a tagalong cultural spear fishing tour with Bundy and they have not stopped raving about it! My primary school aged children learnt so much more than they could have at school. They learnt to make spears, fish, find... More

We booked in for a week and enjoyed our time but 5 days was enough. The sunsets are unique, the beaches long and on a good day the shells are plentiful and the rocks are intriguing. We were lucky and had the best shady camping site under the big old tree. Site number 6. The amenities were clean and easily... More

What a beautiful place. A very long drive on rough track...BUT WHEN YOU GET THERE IT IS GREAT. The coastline, the sunsets, the water.....WOW. I can imagine that Mars terrain would like like the coastline on the western side....but we had a beaitiful ocean to welcome us on the warm days. Admittedly I come from the south west and like... I took my parents up there for Easter as they were visiting from Perth. We stayed in a safari tent overlooking the most amazing bay. We had the sun rise in the morning and it didn't matter where we went or what we looked at it was stunning. We were prepared for hot weather as we knew the wet season... More

Visited the cape a day ago (april) and the scenery is very pretty, but i honestly didnt think it was much to rave about. The swimming beach is covered in rocks which u have to manouver around, and the mozzies are just outragious (anywhere up there and even in broome). We stayed in a cabin which had a bed, fan,... More

Went in the wet (low) season and almost had the beach to ourselves. We chose to stay at a beach hut and it was fantastic. Awesome spot right near the water and only one other hut was occupied. We had a shower and tap as well as picnic table in the hut. There was enough space to put up a... More

such a gorgeous place - one of the all time best in Oz - worth the kms up the unsealed road - the cliffs and beaches are stunning and well captured by photos already uploaded

Have lived in the Pilbara many years and just never ventured further than Broome until recently. WOW......this place is soooo very relaxing and easy. We took the camper trailer and the kids and drove, bumped and dusted our way to Kooljaman. We enjoyed every moment from the squeky clean white sand to the the superb sunset. We had a powered... More

We spent 4 nights in a safari tent near the lighthouse. We were pleasantly surprised to find the road sealed from before the Beagle Bay turn off. On our last visit 15 years ago it was corrugations all the way. Great views from the large balcony down to the beach. Tent spacious with a Q'S bed and 2 singles. Ensuite... More

The Kooljaman resort is at the end of the earth, or at least it feels that way after the two and a half hour drive from Broome across bone shaking, teeth rattling dry sandy dirt tracks.. but that's what I wanted to do....wasn't it? The safari tent in which we stayed was adequately sized for a couple, as well as... More
