nice cottage style place but a bit far out town, good staff
Having read the horror stories of hostels in Perth we were not expecting much. However, we spent two nights there and were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly, the communal areas were clean and the room was good quality. Despite there being a large amount of people staying there noise wasn't a problem.
Although slighlty out of the city...

Although the hostel is at the far end of Northbridge it is worth staying here.
We were greeted on arrival by friendly staff who told us where the supermarkets were and about the bar that they have at the hostel, they also ahve happy hours and there is a pool table area where you can drink late in to the...

Speaking from experience of staying in loads of hostels in Australia it has to be said that Perths offerings are fairly disappointing. However we really enjoyed our stay at coolibah, the Irish girls on reception are incredibly friendly and helpful (the German/European guy less so unfortunately). There is always someone cleaning here even throughout the night so you can be...

Had a really good time... The staff were warm friendly and always helpful. For a Hostel the place was really clean you always see someone cleaning. The Tv area was large with comfortable sofa to relax and watch a movie or tv. It has a mixture of long term people and new but everyone talks to you the feeling is...

This was one of the worst value for money places I’ve ever stayed in. I simply cannot believe all the good reviews below, what a shabby place! The staff was friendly and helpful but that’s all, really. Our really basic double room was outside in the smoking courtyard (the ‘shady’ courtyard as they advertise on their website) where people stay...

This hostel is brilliant. It is on a leafy street in Northbridge and is quiet, friendly and clean, plus the rooms are a normal price for Perth. We arrived from a very noisy, rubbish hostel (Hotel Bambu) and it was such a relief to be back to normality...the staff are lovely, it has 24 hour reception / security and the...

not a bad place, friendly staff. but if you want to catch up on your sleep think again. the silence after 10pm isn't adhered to. So even though we had our own room (not dorm) we were kept awake til way past 10, then woken up by drunken blokes shouting outside your room at 4am.
We stayed in the Coolibah Lodge several times from august till december 2008. Everything was perfectly arranged. Good location, near city centre and pubs, nice courtyard and very good staff: in for some fun, but also very caring in case of trouble. We even left our luggage there for almost three months, while we were travelling elsewhere and no problems...

Stayed at the coolibah lodge, while looking for permanent accomodation in perth.
First stay in a hostel, for a very long time, and I was pleased with the overall stay. The management was excellent and fairly new, they appear to have made alot of new and production changes to the coolibah lodge. Staying at the lodge allowed me to get...
