The Mantra on Murray is an excellent hotel very close to Perth's malls and railway station. The rooms are spacious, fresh and clean, and I found the staff very friendly. I only ate in the restaurant for breakfast - another plus, with a good selection for either the cooked breakfast, or standard continental. I only had a few drinks at... More

We found the Mantra restaurant and bar a delightful place to eat and drink and would not hestitate in recommending this venue to anyone. We had the Salmon which was cooked to perfection. The accompanying salad and vegetables were nicely presented. The staff were all friendly and efficient and we are looking forward to returning soon.

This hotel is centrally located in the heart of the city and is an ideal location for tourists, it is a “real” five minute walk to the underground train station, bus station and a leisurely ten minute stroll to the bell tower where you can catch the ferry to take you to South Perth, where there are some fantastic restaurants... I was looking forward to my first experience staying at a Mantra property (I usually stay with Medina or Holiday Inn for work) - unfortunately my high expectations came crashing down the instant I arrived at this hotel. I was on a leisure trip with my 6 month old infant and relative. Upon arrival, we discovered that there is no... More

I had a 10 day stay in my studio room while in Perth for a wedding and a holiday. Managed to get a good deal through the Mantra Club CU soon program, but I believe that Perth in general is very expensive for accommodation and wining and dining. The location is prime with the Murray Street Mall ( and Hay... More

The 4 stars given to this establishment are NOT worth it. My Executive Room has no windows in the sitting room, and only 3 walls. You pay for laundry & Internet, the furniture is cheap & I can hear my neighbour's cough. The restaurant is wildly overpriced & pretentious & service is paralysingly slow. The risotto is good, the salmon... More

I stayed at the Mantra on Murray for two nights for work. It is well located, in the middle of the city, near shops and the train station etc. But the hotel is very tired with old furniture, torn carpet, in room airconditioners that sound like 2-stroke motors firing-up, and very basic facilities. I suspect that a lot of hotels... More

This hotel is really expensive for the poor standard of service. The staff are apathetic. The hotel is incredibly noisy from the pub over the road. Food from room service came cold. Worst though is the lack lustre attitude of the staff. Better options in Perth.

the rooms are nice, location is great but the prices are rediculous!! i was lucky enough to score a good special over the long weekend, but i certainly wouldnt be willing to pay full rates. also parking is a bit of a pain as it is a block away.

Booked this hotel because of it's closeness to all the facilities in the Perth CBD (We have stayed there before several times). Arrived at 1 pm & was told that our room would definitely NOT be available for 1 hour evem though we had requested an earlier checkin due tom the fact I had a business meeting to attend. The... More
