Stayed at the Best Western for 5 nights last february. The hotel is located in the city center of Auckland right next to the skytower, which is the best feature of this hotel. Other than that it is just a very simple, average hotel. I got a room next to the receiving hood of their kitchen, which made a lot... More

We have just stayed here for 3 nights and from what others have written it seems like a totally different hotel. Our room on the 13th floor was huge we had windows on both sides and there was no noise not even on a busy Saturday night, the decor and the furniture in the room was new and modern. The... More

This the first time I'm writing a review on something, but I felt compelled to WARN future travelers of this "hotel". The only benefit of this place is the centralized location, but there are so many other places who are just as well-located. Do yourself a favor and stay there instead!!!! I'm just going to list out all the cons... More

This hotel has location, location, location for the proximity to Auckland's restaurants and activities. Walking distance to most places. Our room was very comfortable and had most likely been recently refurbished. We were situated on the 1st floor and had no problems with outside noise. Like many international hotels car parking was on a first come first served basis and... More

I'd not stay here again. Desk person, the manager no less, was more than rude. Despite advertising wireless as a room amenity the wifi is $15 a day. The room safes cost $2 a day. Bathroom was filthy and lots of stray hairs elsewhere. The entry to the hotel is frequented by street people. In short, look elsewhere. A $159... More

This hotel is bang in the middle of town, ideal for shops, restaurants, harbour and other activities. The hotel is OK, but the rooms do need a make over. All the facilities are available, and staff mostly helpful, but not the greatest of décor. The location is in a busy area, and although we had no problems with outside noise,... More

We found the reception staff to be very unhelpful and the hotel itself was more like a prison internally than a hotel. It might suit some backpackers but it certainly didn't suit us! Our room was in need of decoration and refurbishment, the airconditioning was so noisy and archaic that we couldn't use it. With the windows open instead we... More

Friendly staff at this centrally located hotel. Accommodated us on early arrival into room overlooking main road on 6th floor. Roadworks woke us at 6.30am and finally stopped at 10pm!! Stayed only 2 nights so didn't bother to ask to be moved. Bathroom, bedroom and lounge very clean and good size, but small fitted wardrobe inadequate. Good full-sized fridge and... More

Good central location BUT very much a budget hotel. Surprised it meets the Best Western standards. Badly in need of refurbishment, uninspiring breakfast and don't book the car park unless you have a very small car. Front desk staff not very helpful and they seem to have trouble understanding their own booking system Best AVOID. More

My husband and I recently stayed three nights in the Best Western President hotel in Auckland. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Especially Bruce who found us a space in the parking garage gave us an upgrade to a room with extra space. All the check-in staff were great, and the breakfast was spectacular we couldn't have asked for... More
