fine if you are looking somewhere just to sleep at the end of a day sightseeing. room was clean, as were the separate bathroom facilities. fantastic location within walking distance of all main attractions and the link bus circuit. for auckland, great value for money. if you are looking for a hotel in which to relax & spend more time... Thank you for your review. We agree that if you were to stay for a while a more expensive hotel might be the preferable way to go. The average stay of our guests is just over 2 days - slightly longer that the Auckland hotel average of just under 2 days. More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights during the RWC in October, 2011. The location is suburb for the price. You are pretty much within walking distance to anything you need in the heart of the Auckland CBD. It is set off the main street (Queen) so you do not get the loud street noise (cars and drunks)... The location is the strong point of this hotel: situated within the Auckland CBD (downtown area) which is where you really want to be when you're on a short visit, right on the main drag (Queens Street) with everything on your doorstep, yet a quiet location as the hotel is off the main road so you don't hear the traffic... Thank you for your review and the generally positive comments. We agree with your comments regarding those fine tuning areas where we could improve and intend to rectify these aspects over the winter period. More

staff friendly a nice hotel overall, the bathroom was small but the price was great its about a 10 minute walk to the waterfront and coming back is a long slope to the hotel i belive its called Queens street so if you have any physical issues check that out but there are taxis also it is close to lots... Thanks for taking the time to post a review. Yes - it's an easy walk to the waterfront but hard work coming back up if you're not up for a bit of excercise. Fortunately there are regular buses for the grand sum of 50 cents. More

Free car parking is a great feature given the downtown location of this hotel, although space is limited on a first-in-first-serve basis. We stayed in a double room with an extra single bed (?!). The room is clean and provide adequate comforts. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Citylink bus stops are only 1-2 min walk away and the Airbus... More

Thank you for your review. WiFi is now broadcast through all rooms. There may be the odd room at the extremities where reception is low so it will depend on your device. More

My friend and I stayed in the Kiwi International Hotel for 4 nights and were very impressed. The hotel is VERY cheap for its central location and nice rooms. The restaurant served very nice new Zealand cuisine which goes down well with the nice price. The drinks are definitely not over priced like most restaurants and bars in New Zealand.... More

I stayed a few nights (intended to possibly stay longer - wish I had considering the hotel I switched to) and would say that the hotel is the definition of 'you get what you pay for'. I stayed in the economy single (shared showers/toilet), which is really a glorified shoebox with a bed, desk, and sink. A few things were... More

Thank you for taking the time to post a review and the generally positive comments. As far as the shortcomings mentioned - the review says it all - you get what you pay for. The reviewer stayed in one of our Economy rooms at $55 / night. These are very popular as they are the best value private hotel room... More

I was very dissapointed in our stay here. We were only in Auckland for one night for a show and only wanted somewhere to sleep and have a shower and Kiwi International looked like a reasonable place for this. How wrong were we! Upon checking in we were asked to pay for our room which had already been prepaid, after... More

Clearly a malicious review lacking in credibility when compared with the vast majority of our guest reviews. There was an issue here of missing linen which is unresolved. We won't be disappointed if these reviewers choose another property for their next Auckland visit. We remain one of the highest ranked TripAdvisor Auckland CBD hotels in our catagory. More

A reasonable hotel with a transient clientel. Stopped here for one night before picking up our camper. It was ok near the town centre and the rooms appeared to have been recently refurbished. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend for one or two nights stopover, which is what appears tobe the norm. More
