When you travel the biggest thing that makes you comfortable is the level of service you get. No problem is too big for the staff at Hotel Grand Chancellor. For a smaller hotel it is so intimate and the staff are amazing. Right next to the nightclub district, but not bothered by the noise of the city, you will love... More

We had a weekend here and apart from the shower over the bath, which was quite high to get over , we really enjoyed it. The room was clean and modern, the pool was great and the food was devine. We had room service the first night which was very prompt and delicious then had dinner in the restaurant the next... More

We picked this hotel because it was one we had not visited before close to the Viaduct Basin. We had come to see the Arena "How to Train Your Dragon" show. With a name like Grand Chancellor how bad could it be for one night? Oh dear you know what's coming don't you! This hotel currently has a building site... More

Pretty good hotel very handy to the sights of Auckland. The rooms were good, beds very comfortable, but very noisy as the footpath is right outside the window and the street is used as a racetrack. The windows need to be double glazed because of this. More

would be ok if priced like an Ibis(they are better), but pricing is near the league of the Pullman( excellent) City life(very good) and The Langham (suoerb). The room guide was missing a room service menu so we requested one, it came with the instruction its 24hr dining, when we rang to order food at 4.45 pm for our son... More

A great Hotel to use when you visit Auckland as it`s close to the CBD and the all important Harbour and Piers. Staff were friendly supportive and constructive in their advice. The rooms are well appointed but definitely worth paying a small premium for the Harbour view - stunning. The food is more than adequate and reasonably priced as was the... More

Stayed here as a stop over on our honeymoon. They stuck us on the ground floor across from construction works where they are building an electrical substation. Asked for an upgrade so they put us on the 3rd floor for an extra $20 a night. Apparently you can't go any higher for the views because they are private apartments. Beside... More

The hotel could definitely do with a refurb, particular the bathrooms - ours was outdated (with a fixed shower head positioned for people under 4 feet tall....) We stayed here twice - once on our arrival in NZ and then 31 nights later. It is very well located, being a stones throw from the waterfront area and also central attractions... More

The location was the only thing I can say that was good about this hotel. When we arrived we were surprised by the $300 bond...if this was in our booking info then it must have been in extremely fine print. The staff were rather unprofessional towards us - just because we are younger doesn't mean we are not worthy of... More

Needs Tender Loving Care Great location but really an apartment block than a hotel. This is ok but the reception didn't tell us that the door had to be locked by key when leaving the apartment. We thought that as in most places the door would default locked when closed. We were surprised on returning to our apartment to find... More
