We stayed only one night but really would have loved to stay longer. The house is beautiful - all wood and windows. We enjoyed having a quick swim in the pool which has palm trees and other plants growing naturally around one side of it. Arthur was a very warm and welcoming host and cooked a superb breakfast for us.... More

We had a very enjoyable two nights at Kuirau Lodge. Though we had booked a standard room when we arrived there had been a cancellation of the superior room so we were upgraded at no extra cost - a nice touch. The room was the height of comfort with a lovely shower in the bathroom. Arthur and Pam were very... More

I stayed with my mum as the homestay option on an APT tour. The whole stay was fantastic- excellent facilities, food and best of all a genuine warm welcome from Pam and the family. If in Rotorua again I would not hesitate to stay again. More

I spent three nights in one of the standard rooms (with a shared bathroom) in the main house. I had the bathroom facilities for myself, however. The place was spotless clean. You have a continental or full breakfast for an additional charge. There is a small hot springs swimmingpool surrounded by lush vegetation in the back. I always swam there... More

We stayed in the studio above the garage for 3 nights. The room is very sunny and nicely decorated. It has a living area with comfy couches and a nice tv (cable channels) & a kitchenette (stove, microwave, fridge). The bed is king sized and very comfortable. Arthur was just lovely! The location is convenient also - it's about a 10... More

I'm lost for words that will do justice to this wonderful place. We have been everywhere staying at bnbs but this tops the lot. Arthur was the perfect host and Pam was ever so friendly and a wealth of information. We were surprised by the size of the room, a very comfortable bed and your "Shower Dome" to reduce condensation... More

Best B&B experience i've ever had! The Lodge owner, Arthur, picked us up (and dropped us off) at the airport, that was a nice touch and very helpful! We got an immediate upgrade when we got there for the same price as the cheaper room we had booked! We ended up staying in the studio room above the garage and... More

if we would have known the quality of this B&B before getting there, we would have reserved more than 1 night, the room was immense and very well furnished, the heated pool was UN REAL and super hot ( due to the thermal vent ) it was the best stay possible especialy following a big hike in the Tongariro region... After traveled through NZ and stayed at 11 different lodges, Kuirau Lodge is surely the best of the best! We stayed 2 nights in the new chalet. It's perfect with everything! House as ''toulousekittie'' discribed. As a wheelchair user, the design of the house was really accessible to me. I do thanks the owner Arthur's kind and cared. Their lovely... More
