Sheila and her husband were most freindly and helpful hosts. The house is in a fabulous position with their rear garden running down to the lake shore. The lake is very beautiful and peaceful, especially in early morning with ducks and ducklings swimming along the lakeside. Ginie, the hostess, is a wonderful cook, and we were spoilt with her home... Stayed for 2 nights and had a really wonderful stay. Location is very good with the area being quiet but still not far from the centre. Breakfast is excellent and views from the terrace are one of a kind. Highly recommended

We stayed 3 nights with Ginie and Bob and had a great time. Our room was comfortable and we loved having the use of the main living room and the deck, just a few steps from the lake. It was great to be far enough out of town not to suffer the sulphur smell, but still close enough that we... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Shula's lake house. We found the location ideal, as it was close to all the attractions in Rotorua, right on the lake for a lovely view, but yet far enough from town to avoid the "smell of Rotorua." Ginnie and Bob were great hosts - they were helpful with everything we needed, but gave... More

We had a lovely stay here for our honeymoon. We stayed here for 4 nights in December and loved it. The views of the lake are gorgeous and the bed was very comfortable. The room was cosy and had everything you needed. The main part of town is only a 5 minute drive away and we had no problem getting... More

We stayed two nights at Shula's Lake House last week. We required a late arrival, and Ginnie and Bob were totally accomodating to our needs. We are vegetarians, but that was no problem for Ginnie--our breakfast both days was excellent and filling. The room was very comfortable and the views of the lake were perfect. We wanted to stay at... More

My first experience ever staying at a B&B was one that makes me want to stay at more and more in the future. Staying in Ginie's home in the panoramic suite just several feet from the lake was such a positive experience in every way. It was our first stop in New Zealand. Ginie spoiled us for the rest of... We stayed 2 nights and if we pass through Rotorua again we would definitely stay with Ginie again. Lovely comfortable room with beautiful view. Breakfast was freshly made with excellent choices. Our weather wasn't great and it was great having some heating in the bedroom and lounge.
