My family and I stayed at Hamurana Lodge for 5 days. All the members of the group enjoyed our stay very very much. The location of the property is exactly what I call idyllic, quiet, sceenic and the surroundings were well maintained. Well located for must do trips around Rotorua and beyond. Having been in many first-class hotels around the... More

A unique experience which combined excellent food and wine for the adults and engaging activities for the children. The chef served up the most divine foie gras and luscious lamb. Even the breakfast was superb. This is a must!

We had a lovely stay at this wonderful lodge. It was only a 10 min drive outside Rotorua and was peaceful and quiet. Our room was huge and really comfy, with a lovely view. Jenna and the team were really friendly and helpful and always went out of their way to always say hello and ask if we needed anything.... More

I had the wonderful experience of staying at this Lodge on a recent trip to New Zealand. It is tucked away on a road a few miles from the centre of Roturoa and is accessed by a sweeping drive of lovely bushes and flowers and trees and lawns. The house and grounds are very elegant but I still felt at... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. Beautiful house, very nicely furnished, gorgeous garden. Very kind and helpful hosts. Great breakfast with freshly backed croissants and pain au chocolat à la française! Highly recommended.

A personal greeting is always something to be remembered, this is what we received on arrival at this "oh so special" lodge. As well as a beautifully appointed comfortable room with views, & tasteful selection of teas & coffees, we thoroughly enjoyed the peace & tranquility the place offers. We were treated to a sumptuous feast of freshly made croissants... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hamurana Lodge. The first time in Rotorua for us in many years. The lodge was very easy to find and perfectly located 10 minutes from the centre of town, in a serene setting with views to the lake from the upstairs balcony. Our suite was very comfortable & spacious and we particularly liked the... More

We loved the lodge and especially the gracious hosts. Fred, Alex, Jenna and Charlie could not have been nicer. I am an avid organic cook, and Charlie spent time showing me his organic garden and giving me tips to bring back to my home. The food was wonderful and it is nice to stay outside of Rotorua.

We had an excellent stay at Hamurana Lodge, made even more special by booking the 'Sail Away' package, which included a 3hr Catamaran trip around Lake Roititi. Jenna was the perfect host, always there to offer you a drink or to help with your stay. It was like being welcomed home, into the most comfortable and high quality country estate.... More

We really enjoyed Rotorua and Hamurana Lodge contributed to this greatly. The lodge is a 15-20 min drive out of Rotorua centre (which is no bad thing) but very close to the lake and 5 min drive away from Hamurana Springs which is a spectacularly beautiful walk. The attention and service we got from the lodge, especially Jenna, Alex, Charlie... More
