“Immaculate”

Rive Gauche is located a few minutes out of Taupo (toe-paw) on the high side of the Waikato river. We stayed for 3 nights (21-23 April) and were the only guests at the time. The house is very spacious, clean and comfortable with a European feel. Lynn was full of great local tips and very friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast.... More

“Beautiful and handy”

We loved the Rive Gauche and its owners Jim and Lynn who were very helpful and welcoming. We stayed three nights in the self catering studio overlooking the vineyard. “Wonderful stay”

Just what we were looking for. A beautiful and comfortable stay. We were made to feel very welcome and appreciated the time and space to relax and just enjoy. Just a short drive from central Taupo and close proximity to some beautiful views and thermal tourist spots. We were able to capture a beautful sunset overlooking Taupo.

We like to think that we are providing a place where people can take a relaxing break from their busy schedules and return home regenerated. “Great place to stay”

We stayed with Lynn & Jim in March and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Taupo can be busy so staying on the outskirts is advantageous. The accommodation, welcome and breakfasts cannot be faulted. Happily stay again

We are always delighted when guests say they appreciate the tranquillity of our location. Can't say enough about this gem! Gorgeous accommodation. Had wine on the private patio overlooking the river. Lynn and James were so accommodating and informative. Fabulous breakfast. Highly recommend!
