The lodge was situated by the lake Taupo. Beautiful view from the rooms, tasteful breakfasts and nice host and hostess. We really enjoyd our stay! The rooms are very nice, modern and furnished with taste. Best of the lodges durin our 2 week trip in New Zealand. The hotel should be rated higher, meaning 5 stars lodge in NZ.

Susan and Tony are exceptional hosts. They are friendly but have set the house up so that as guests you have as much privacy as you desire. During our 6 week tour of NZ, Wharewaka Lodge was easily the best accommodation we stayed in. The Lodge is beautifully designed, decorated and equipped.
