This hotel in lovely tauranga, New Zealand has really seen better days. Even the staff on the front desk seemed disinterested. The room was ok and at least it was clean but the entrance I was shown to use, near the car park had carpet so filthy that the only thing holding it all together was the old chewing gum.... More

It is certainly dated, but most of the fitments, although old, were of quality that has stood the test of time. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We had Dinner and Breakfast at the Hotel, and enjoyed them very much. The receptionist was incedibly helpful and efficient. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

This hotel appears to be a 1960's conference hoel that has not been updated or refurbished recently. However the room proved very comfortable and the onsuite facilities were excelent if dated. Reception was very helpful with information about the local area. The buffet breakfast was very well presented and good value.

We stayed for two nights and we were struck by the dated hotel and it's decor. Dark corridors, worn leather sofas, carpeted walls in the lift and redundant television control panels in the bedroom give the impression that no major refurbishments/upgrades have been done for about 25 years! The staff were friendly but unfortunately our room was so smelly we... More

We stayed 4-13 Feb as part of a group of 50 Master athletes mostly from Australia. Arriving by coach from Auckland the checkin was quick & efficient. It was nearly 10:00pm and the restaurant was closed, the lady in reception arranged fish and chips to be brought in and those who had requested it were impressed with the quality. Breakfast... More

Will need a definite upgrade, rather outdated. The windows must be paper thin as one can hear every car drive by and follow a conversation of people passing by, making it impossible to enjoy a good nights sleep. First time to Tauranga.

Very freindly staff and service was great. Evening meal was excellent and our complements to the chief - kitchen and resturant staff. Pre dinner drinks in the bar with the pianist as background music was very relaxing. The bed was comfortable and bedding weight was perfect for the climate . We would definitely recommend to others.

Few mins walk from city centre. Cosy and clean but a bit outdated. Nice large swimming pool and spa. We had multiple rooms and unfortunately our room 103 had really terrible beds, the double was soft and sagging and the single, we could feel the wires through the mattress, we had to check out early because we could not sleep...
