We stayed two nights and while the decor is rather dated, it was clean and tidy. We dined at the restaurant one evening and the meals were delicious and generously portioned. The staff members we encountered were all friendly and helpful.

We recently spent two nights at this establishment and whilst it was adequate it did not overly impress us. It is situated a fair way out of the city and is difficult to access. Our room was in a block of ten, for which there were three car parks. Hence we had to park quite some distance from the room....

We arrived in wellington at night it was pouring rain, and windy and raining sideways we couldn't find anything so capital gateway was a godsend. its outside the city but there is a bus at the bottom of the road that takes you right into the centre. after driving so much it was great not to have to get in...

We booked into this Camp Site because we thought it was right next to the ferry terminal, this wasn’t the case it’s about 6kms away maybe a mistake by us when researching. The camp site itself is also a bit of a pain to find, you can easily miss the exit for it. The check in was Ok but the...

Stayed here for one night after getting the ferry from the south island. It literally is just a car park with the campers packed in and no space at all outside your van to sit etc. There are 2 showers and toilets for each gender. Its OK for one night but not somewhere to spend your whole holiday.
We went...

This is not a caravan park. It is normal carpark behind the motel you can't see when arriving. Only one dirty smelly shower per gender. Total rip off at $46 per night. Not even close to 4 stars advertised. Worst caravan park on our 2 weeks driving thru NZ. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else.
We didn't have a good experience staying here. The room we stayed in had a draft under the door where they was a gap between door and floor of at least 1 cm. The bed HAD roll together and the foot of the bed curled up. There was no day curtain so had no privacy from the neighbours when they...

My colleague and I ended up staying here for one night after being stranded in Wellington by flight cancellations. It was the closest hotel to the city we could get and having just stayed at the James Cook Hotel we were expecting this place to be grotty. What a pleasant surprise! Checking in was a breeze with the staff person...

We stayed one night and were glad it was only one. The site for campervans/motorhomes is simply a carpark with powered sites very close together and serviced by only a couple of showers and toilets.
Location is ok for a bus to the centre but next to noisy motorway. If you want convience for Wellington then go to the Waterfront...

Units were not as good as pictured on website. Very cold, uninviting rooms. Only 2 little heaters that dont heat nothing! Being In Wellington, you need proper heating. Microwave, stove hobbs and electric blanket did not work! However, good showers! No wifi in units.
