We booked the Travelodge as we were only going to be in Wellington for approx 6 hours and just needed somewhere to crash before we started our road trip up the north island. The reception itself and car park was a little tricky to find and get to but considering it was 1am in the morning, our welcome was very... More

This was my first stay at Travelodge and I was quite impressed. Rooms are value for money and have all the essentials. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient. The location is great being close to both The Terrace business district and also shops and restaurants. Parking is available right next door at a cost of $20 a day. I found... More

Feeling adventurous we took the mystery option on Wotif and were pleasantly surpised to secure the Travelodge at a great rate. You can believe all the great online reviews. Friendly staff, clean well appointed modern rooms. We stayed in a standard room on level 17 that had great views of the harbour. Higher floors will have even better views. Centrally... More

As an single overnight stay I would recommend a stay at the Travelodge - for the price it is good value. It is clean, functional and very central for downtown Wellington. I liked the fact they had a shower cubicle and not a bath with a shower head in it. One complaint is the room size - very small which... More

We didn't have much time in Wellington, which is a shame. This hotel was fine, but I wouldn't have wanted to spend too long in it as the room was quite cramped. Clean and modern though, with a mini-kitchen. Breakfast was fine and the staff were helpful.

We stayed here for an overnight before crossing to the South Island. The weather turned and the ferry was cancelled so we booked a second night. We were on the 14th floor and had a reasonable (but not great) view. The mini-cyclone that night rattled the windows somewhat but we were comfortable. The room was much like any similar room... More
