Hotel was very pleasant & there was so much to take in with the decor & art. The rooms were spacious, had a kitchen including a coffee machine, iPod dock, deep bath & great pillows. Location is a bonus across from Te Papa & close to plenty of eateries. I'm looking forward to staying again soon for a Wellington weekend.

Had a weekend in Wellington with friends and stayed at the Museum again, really happy, good service and easy place to walk the town from. Ok, its not the cheapest place in town. But still very resonable if you get a weekend deal stay like we did. The staff are pleasent and helpful. I enjoy going to the Museum Hotel on work trips. It makes the monotony of staying in a new hotel each night bearable. The residential suites are nice and roomy if you can get them. However, mine smelled like cooking oil. A hazard of having a kitchen in the room I guess. iPod docks are a nice touch.

I quite like the distinctive and confident personality of this hotel. The lobby is not brightly lit and has an eclectic mix of colours, patterns and artworks in different media.
