I really dont know where to start with this place. We booked the Quest Atrium on the basis that it had a 4* + rating. We should have realised from the minute we got into the building that this was not a 4* property. The reception area looks rather shabby and tired.Anyway, remaining optimistic,we checked in and got into the lift.It judders and... We stayed three nights at The Quest Atrium in Wellington. The draw card to stay here was the swimming pool. Never got to use the pool as it closed early. Paid $20.00 a night for a car park, terrible car park to drive into, has only one entrance/exit had to back up numerous times to allow cars to exit. The... More

Hi Frequentflyer34, I would like to apologize for the state of the room and housekeepings attitudes. I will be speaking to them, requiring an immediate improvement. On the noise, our reception is close between 6pm - 8am, calls outside these hours are directed to an after-hours service (off site) who contact the duty manager who is onsite. When there are... More

This would have to be the filthiest accommodation we have ever stayed in. The terracotta tiles were black, ingrained with dirt (well beyond a wet mop being able to deal with them) The carpet was also covered in large black stains, suggesting that the flooring is never cleaned. There was thick mould around the windows, no locks on the bathroom... More

Arrived late on Easter weekend and was pleased to have the safe box and instructions so we could have access to the rooms. Rooms were in need of a coat of paint and all the pictures were missing from our room!! Our room overlooked the road but patents room faced into the courtyard and they say that nothing was private,... More

Hi Josie, Thank you for your feedback. All of our bedroomed apartments are outward facing, and studio's inward to the Atrium. The Atrium is being looked at for ways to improve the sound carrying, we hope a solution will minimise noise. Thanks, Aaron Turner More

Worst service I have ever received in my life!!! I left a gift box of jewellery in the hotel and called back that night to see if it had been found. I was promised to be called back the next day, but never received a call. Called back to follow up and was promised I would be called back the... More

Hi Emily, Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I regard customer service, and that our service was nowhere near standard, I am dissapointed. I will be talking with front of house staff about this. Again I apologies for the inconveniences caused. Kind regards, Aaron Turner House Manager Quest Atrium More

We stayed one night and that was enough. Room faced the Atrium. Had to keep the curtain closed as we looked into someone elses room. Very noisy, it echos badly. It is very dark as no natural light. Had to have the lights on in the room. Very tiny room, standard studio. Very order priced for what you get. Still... More

While the rooms are very spacious they are in serious need of maintenance. Walls are marked, there is no light above the vanity in the bathroom. bathroom ventilation is very noisy, if you have artificial flowers in a room they need to be dusted, cracked tiles should be replaced, locks on doors were not useable in the bathroom, the door... We left after only two nights at this place. Our room opened onto the atrium: it was dark, claustrophobic, smelly and noisy, because while blocking out the light, the atrium (stretching upwards from the ground to a clear roof six storeys up) magnifies every sound and every smell. There is just not enough air. A designer's nightmare. Presumably longer-term tenants can... More

Chose this place because of a cheapish last minute rate on wotif, and reasonably convenient location. What other reviewers say about some problems is true: internal atrium magnifies every sound to huge volumes; rooms are dim with little natural light; airless and stuffy with windows closed for noise (only a fan, no aircon) but noisy with windows open; the whole... OMG we did the mistake of pre-paying a week here, I wish I could have moved after night 1! The room itself was fine, a little pokey and ill designed but right next to a motorway meant I didn't get a restful sleep all week. The motorway noise is almost constant only quiet between 2:30 and 5am, heavy vehicles too.... More
