We spent 4 nights at the Abel Tasman, found we could walk to museums, waterfront and restaurants. Hotel probably needs a little update, but staff were friendly and it's location makes it a good base when visiting Wellington.

Had a lovely weekend here, everything was clean, staff helpful. Easy to get to shops and other attractions from here. Good value. I agree that the bathrooms need extractor fans as previous reviewers state. Would stay again. Room was a good size and bed comfy, presented well.

Got a good price, convenient to everything in town. Two blocks from Cuba street nightlife and three from the CBD. Lovely hotel right in the middle of Wellington. Clean, simple rooms with everything you need. I guess if you are used to very flash hotels it may not be you thing but we absolutely loved it! Great staff. Huge bathroom, comfortable bed and 5 min walk to Cuba st. Excellent value for money. Will definitely stay again.
