Good value for amenities, central location. Staff where just lovely, friendly welcoming and accommodating. Restaurant was nice, food great. BUT sadly lots of street noise which resulted on a disturbed sleep and this was during the week, hate to think what it is like in the week end. Staff where aware of problem and said nothing could be done, was... More

A convienient hotel with no presences. An affordable tarrif for this older style hotel. Some (most?) of the rooms have been recently renovated and they are large and comfortable, if a bit 1980s in feel. It can be a bit noisy at times if there is a Kontiki group is staying.

My husband and I have now stayed at this hotel twice now and we love it. It's not your posh place but it is very comfortable and well priced. The second visit was when we took some friends there for an overnighter. Breakfast was included and very nice as well. If you are looking for a clean comfortable and friendly... More

Very Stylish, centrally located hotel with great amenities.Close to transit. Loved the decor! Custom made breakfast or food on the run offered. The best part of this hotel is the staff. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was FABULOUS !!

I stayed here for 2 nights during January. This hotel is perfectly located for everything in Wellington. I was in a triple room and even though there were 3 beds there was still plenty of space. The bathroom was a decent size and also had a bath. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from shops and cafes etc. And... More

We stayed here two nights in a "refurbished room". The location was great, easy walking distance to Wellington attractions, only the room still looked rather tired, especially the bathroom. Quite adequate for our needs on this trip.

We have stayed several times in the past and previously enjoyed the handy location, secure parking and great on-line rates. A guest checking in before us was very upset as his confirmed booking had been given away and the offered alternative was more expensive. Come our turn we were surprised to be informed bike parking was more expensive than a... More

I have stayed at the Abel Tasman hotel on a number of occasions in Wellington. Its location is good - kind of in the middle of the city. Walking distance to Courtney Place and walking distance to shop along Lambton Quay. The hotel entrance is welcoming, as a homely hotel in the UK would be. The Front office staff are... More

Generally good hotel but showing its age a bit. Efficient reception staff and friendly too. Rooms basic but comfortable. Good value for the money
