Very new hotel, but not comfortable at all, no service, unfriendly people. There was only one night lamp and in spite of various remarks did not get another one. Reception was small desk behind class, lady sitting there was more interested to speak in phone and surf in internet than serve customers.

As others have noted the Parkview is more apartments than hotel, so don't choose it if you want to be waited on. the hotel is at a round about facing the hagley park south, the room is huge, bed is comfortable, bathroom is clean with nice fittings. free parking and wifi. there are many restuarants within walking distance, botanic garden is 5 min by foot. its an nice apartment, nothing like a hotel.
