Great motel, right in the city. Very clean, spacious room, large bathroom, double glazed windows that help with the cold weather and the noise from the street. Manager very friendly and helpful. I understand that there was some damage after the earthquake but it wasn't noticeable. Would stay there again. More

Stayed in this one as airline crew. Occasionally all the other hotels we stay at are fully booked so the crewing department sources other hotels with a minimum of 4 star. Excellent facilities. Clean and homely to walk into. I really like the pump bottles in the bathroom with soap, shampoo etc. I also like the fresh milk bottles instead of the tiny sachets of milk you get elsewhere. Best motel I've stayed in. Host chris is very helpful and friendly even though we interrupted his dinner... Our room was very clean and comfortable and very well appointed (and quiet). We chose to stay here as it was close to where friends live and also within walking distance for collecting our motorcycle rental. The room was comfortable and the owners were exceptionally helpful.
