When you arrive at Claremont House, you can only marvel at its history dating back to 1908 as you look up at this gracious building. See if you can get the room at the top with the most wonderful views over the hills and coast of Dunedin. Ingrid and Adrian are wonderful hosts and Adrian will happily stop to have... More

We stayed for 3 nights in the Red Suite and cannot speak highly enough of this beautiful B&B. It is in a lovely area of Dunedin full of character houses, about a 10 walk to the Octagon. The Red Suite is beautifully decorated with antique pieces and is incredibly spacious. The views from the bedroom are amazing. The best part... More

Thanks Adrian and Ingrid for a most pleasant stay. We were blown away by the beautiful house, the rooms are very spacious, beds comfortable and the surrounding area quiet and peaceful. This has to be the most beautiful bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. We loved all the little extras. Just perfect. :-) More

The house was absolutely amazing, the views from our top room were exquisite. The whole atmosphere was warming and comforting, a very unique experience in such a traditional scottisch styled interior. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. A must for anyone visiting Dunedin, we only stayed 2 nights, but next time will definitely be longer... More

Stayed one night on a rushed trip through the South Island. This house is beautiful and the owners were fantastic. Very helpful with local advice. The room we had was massive with views. It is located a short walk out of town but the return trip is uphill so be prepared for a workout. Town is fantastic with all types... More

As we would be celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary whilst in Dunedin, we wanted somewhere special. We were not disappointed with Claremont House. The accommodation is marketed as a 'boutique' bed and breakfast and it is fair to say that, unlike other accommodation marketed as such in New Zealand, this place was definitely of high standard. Adrian and Ingrid were... More

Ingrid and Adrian are the ideal B&B hosts. They are welcoming, warm and attentive and give the impression that they really love running a B&B and meeting all the guests. The home is an immaculate restored "grand old" house. We were in the suite with the turret bedroom - marvellous views of Dunedin and the harbour. Breakfasts are something special... More

From the very warm welcome onwards this delightful B & B is truly a home away from home. Ingrid & Adrian always helpful with what to see and where to go. Our suite was extra large with a separate lounge room and views. The bedroom too was large and the bathroom contained everything one could possibly need. A wonderful home... More

Our first experience of staying in a B&B in Dunedin was amazing, Claremont House is a wonderful home full of antiques and collectables and situated close to the city of Dunedin but far away enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding area. Thank you for putting us in the Turret Room with wonderful views over the roof... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Claremont House this summer (6 weeks). We found the accomadations in the cottage very clean, comfortable, well equipped, and quiet for our family of three. The views around the cottage were lovely as well as the sounds of the local birds singing in the morning. Adrian and Ingrid were the perfect hosts... More
