Fortunately due to a mixup with our bookings we were given the last room at this property which we decided must be Invercargill's best kept secret. Firstly I cannot understand the profile pic of garden gates as to my recollection is some distance to the park entrance. That being said 388 is central to most attractions on offer. Although it is not within easy walking distance of dining, there is list of an order in choices and the popular Saucy Chef and adjacent bistro provides a courtesy transport service for patrons, thanks Debbie at reception for this advice. The 388 accommodation was up with the best of NZ hospitality we have experieced thus far. At $144 per night, the bathroom was well appointed and immaculate as was the kitchenette. Also lovely to have a coffee pot and gounds provided. The bed was huge and comfy, so much so that we took a pic of the mattress so we can get one like it. We had parking outside our unit, would certainly stay there again and would highly recommend to others.

We really loved staying here. Our studio suite was immaculately clean and tidy. The care and thought that was put into our room shows these hosts really do care about others comfort. The shower was absolutely amazing, the bed even more so. I don't sleep very well as I have back problems but I have never slept so well! I woke up after a good full nights sleep and I was not sore at all. The host was helpful, friendly and recommended us to the best restaurant called the Spicy Chef. I cannot rate this place high enough. If I am down in Invercargill again this is the place I will be staying every time.

Vicky and Geoff are fantastic host. They were very helpful as it was my first time in Invercargill for Work. The rooms were serviced everyday, nice comfortable bed just felt like home away from home. Geoff was very kind to drop me off to the airport to catch my flight. overall experience was great, highly recommend it to anyone who is passing through.

We had a relaxing stay here, the hosts were very helpful and friendly. The unit was spacious, the bed extremely comfortable, serviced daily and clean.
The only suggestion would be to maybe looking at shampooing the lounge carpet and seating.

I can't fault this place at all. Spotless, spacious rooms, well appointed kitchen and so very warm. Thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay here in the peace and quiet. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting an affordable and very comfortable stay in Invercargill. Would absolutely stay here again any time.

Really enjoyed our couple of days there. Clean units, and had everything we wanted, plenty of room in the living area, also the bedrooms were a good size. Easy parking, handy spot to get to places. Owner was lovely. Would recommend to stay there.

Having stayed in a lot of motels and hotels this motel would rate up there with the best of them. A cleaner motel you would be hard pressed to find and this aspect is highly important to us. Easily recommended and we will stay there again.

This was our last stay in NZ after more than 3 weeks. The motel was neat and clean with an amazingly spotless bath. We got one of the corner suites (only 2) that has a very large room and large living area with kitchen. Dianna was very helpful about suggesting restaurants (Little India -best Indian food in NZ and 3Bean Cafe for breakfast) and several sights for us to see. We will definitely stay here again.

Dianna and Keith were most entertaining hosts. 50+ TV which allowed us to watch 6 Notions Rugby. Room spotlessly clean and comfortable. Car parking easy. Room quiet despite being near to main road. good value.
