Rooms were decent, metal bunk beds weren't sloppy and wobbly. Bathrooms are in need of a major overhaul. Free WiFi, albeit slow. Discount at the cafe in the lobby which serves a excellent breakfast. Great location

Tuatara Lodge is on the Main Street, across from the cinemas. The entrance/reception area is appealing as this is the home of a relatively good cafe, however the rooms are old, outdated and shabby. We had a double room that had no window and very old decor and amenities. There is free wifi. We wouldn't stay here again!

Tuatara lodge is a backpackers style place on the main st in Invercargill. Close to all the action is good but the party can go on till early so ear plugs usefull. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a cafe downstairs which serves breakfast. Reasonable rates might stay again.
