I think that this hotel is the best hotel in New Zealand. It is situated on Lake Wakatipu a couple of kilometres outside the rush of the CBD. The views are tremendous from the rooms, which are well appointed and maintained. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is a choice of a hotel room all the way up to... More

We stayed at the Rees for 8 nights and were happy we did. We choose to stay in a room over the apartment. We also choose a room with a lake view. The room was spacious and we loved the shower! Very clean which is a big deal for me. Hotel staff was amazing! Very friendly and helpful! My husband... More

We stayed at the Rees for 4 nights in May 2012. Stayed in a 3 bedroom executive apartment that was stunning. Although close to the main road, you have no awareness of this as the sound-proofing is unbelievable, proabably the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in. We had the kids and grand-parents with us but the way the room... More

Comfortable, clean, well appointed apartments offering spectacular views* The staff are friendly and offer supurb service, even the restaurant is a memorable experience! Although not located smack bang in the middle of town..you wouldn't want it any other way once you you experience it and the lovely lakeside path is only 25 minutes walk into the town centre. This place... More

My partner and I stayed at the Rees for 4 nights in May, 2012. We can't recommend it highly enough. Beyond the very comfortable and well-appointed room and the spectacular lake and mountain views (no need to pay more for a high floor: we were on the third floor and our view was still fabulous), what really impressed us was... We stayed here for 5 nights on our first trip to Queenstown & really enjoyed it. The room was a studio style, very comfortable & fitted out beautifully. We only ate at the restaurant for breakfast but it was very nice & the view out over the lake through the full length glass windows while you were eating was beautiful.... More

If you are looking for a place to stay in Queenstown the search ends here! My wife and I were visiting Queenstown on our Honeymoon back in March of 2012. When we were doing our planning the most important thing to us was the view. After researching pretty much every hotel in the area we settled on The Rees. We... More

Her son(who lives in Marlborough) recommended it having reserched for somewhere special. It certainly was.......Our 2 bedroom accomodation had everything we required.A large balcony with a stunning view over lake. (Brilliant sunrises). Modern kitchen/lounge area. 60th Birthday Dinner... If it wasn't for the staff and the view, this hotel would have been a disappointment. Yuki was especially fantastic as the concierge. He helped me plan day trips, gave me advice on travel around town, which buses to catch to get out of town, and even took the time after each day to check how my previous day was.... More

We stayed for 5 wonderful days in a 2 bedroom apartment in April 2012. The apartment had everything we could wish for including a stunning view. The concierge, Benjamin Sexton, emailed us in advance of our trip with suggestions and made reservations for our activities once we nailed down what we wanted to do. Nothing was too much trouble for... More
