Three of us were very fortunate to secure 4 nights lodging in this 100+ year old house. The house has 3 bedrooms (2 ensuite) and 3 bathrooms. Every room was large, including the kitchen, dining room and the lounge. We were quite comfortable and if we had been staying for a longer time, we would have taken advantage of the... More

We enjoyed the Historic Stone House. The accomodations were delightful and the hosts were lovely, helpful types. Their knowledge of the area and restaurant recommendations were bang on. I would definitely recommend this property. -N&D-Toronto Canada More

We should have stayed in this place longer. It is spacious and convenient. We stayed at the Weir apartment, the elevated one. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. At 225 per night, it offers excellent value. More

A stunning appartment set in a central and convenient location. The Stonehouse appartment we stayed in was beautifully decorated with a spacious lounge/dining room, separate kitchen and double bedroom with a massive bed and lots of cupboard space. The kitchen was fully equipped, lots of fabulous little touches like the stainless steel cafetiere and beautiful crockery and glassware. The hot... More

Where do I start. Cannot fault the setting with central Queenstown just a short downhill walk. The apartment was beautifully decorated, spacious, included a dishwasher and modern kitchen equipment. The Stonehouse is extremely well managed by Alex and John. Alex is very knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble, he even suggested things to do and see. The hot tub... More

We stayed in Daniel's apartment in the Historic Stone House and couldn't have been happier with the accommodation. It was spacious, well situated, beautifully decorated and the manager Alex was extremely pleasant and helpful. The apartment was also serviced each day which we weren't expecting. Excellent value and nice to stay somewhere with a bit of character. More

One of the best places Ive ever stayed at. Friendly service, amazing location, and most lovely and cosy accomodation. Will never stay anywhere else in Queenstown! Loved it. Theres a phone outside the Stonehouse so you can contact the manager if you have any problems. I loved that they were only a phone call away. Luckily there was so much... More

A word of warning to prospective guests; don't expect Historic Stone House to be a B&B, as it is now self-catering accommodation (the hosts are not located on site but are quite responsive to phone calls). My mistake - I read the previous reviews here more thoroughly than their website. The website can also be a little misleading, as the... More

Matt, our host was absolutely delightful. He made excellent custom-order breakfasts for us each morning, was incredibly helpful about our stay in Queenstown and was always cheerful. It's a little spendy, but so much better value for the experience compared to many of the other places we looked into staying in town. More
