Easily the only option for any traveller in Queenstown. It's really clean, the staff are friendly the rooms are really nice, facilities are great and there's heaps of people to meet there. The hostel itself has an awesome location, right next to the lake, with shops, bars, restaurants etc on the doorstep. Ideal!

Nomads, tonnes better than Base. The rooms were nice, clean and pretty big. Even though it's a big hostel, it's seems like they manage to find staff who really care about where they're working, which really does make all the difference. Managed to squeeze us in around new year without a booking. Awesome!

The staff are gems, great advice from the travel shop, free dinner and breakfast, immaculately cleaned, so many good facilities! I Stayed at Nomads with a friend for a girls weekend. Nomads was the perfect choice, right in town, warm and a great atmosphere. Nomads Queenstown feels more like a hotel than a hostel! Crisp, modern rooms with clean facilities. I stayed in a four-bed female dorm with a gorgeous view over the mountains during the snow! Beds have individual lamps which is convenient. Huge common area with cozy fire. The balcony by the common area has great views and is the perfect place to get some direct sun rays on your skin. I have stayed at Nomads all three times I've visited Queenstown over the last year and each time the place has not disappointed. During the ski season it's good to take advantage of the free breakfast and if you're strapped for cash the free first come, first served dinner is also a bonus. Common areas are all great, big and clean bathrooms and kitchen. Love the fact you get free toast and you can also get free dinners on a first come first served basis, but I never tried these.
