I stayed here for 2 nights after getting a good deal through Wotif.com. Checked in, with complimentary glass of wine or beer. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was everything you could want. Clean, tidy and very comfortable. We were given vouchers for a full buffet breakfast. $13 was a steal with what I ate. They gave us... More

My partner & i stayed for 3 days after getting a good deal online. We had a nice room which was lovely & clean although dated, carpet very badly stained. The bathroom was large as was the room & had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. We used the Spa & also the restaurant. It is a little far out... More

The Heritage is a charming and ambient hotel with great facilities. We liked the free canapes with drinks each evening and the pool facilities were lovely. However Fernhill is too far to walk to and from town. More

I've stayed at this cosy hotel twice and have never been disappointed. The rooms are clean and very spacious, the staff are very helpful and gave good suggestions of where to go and where to eat (Fergburger!) The main highlight of the rooms are the fabulous lake view from the balcony. Simply divine. The only downside is to go to... More

Having read other reviews and using advice by travel agents we chose this place for top end quality and value, however, we felt a little disappointed by this hotel. It wasn't the most welcoming, it looked good from outside but our room, while extremely spacious, was very dated and tired looking. It was a good distance out of town but... More

Our room deal included a full breakfast the next morning, this was most impressive, loved the views from this hotel and enjoyed the walk along lake in to town. More

We stayed at this hotel during our trip around North & South Islands in November/December 2011. This was one of the best hotels we stayed at for helopfullness and friendliness of the staff - excellent food. Beautiful views from the rooms overlooking the lake and although just out of town a regular bus service (with a pass from the hotel)... More

Very nice hotel, clean and large room, very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful views from the balcony. Slight 'faded glory' air to it as the rooms are looking a bit dated. It is quite a walk out of town up a steep hill, so do not try to lug bags up there! More

I bought 4 nights accommodation for a good price and when we arrived were informed that we would be in a Forest View Room. After discussions we agreed to upgrade to a Lake View room for an extra $100 a night. I thought this was a little steep considering that the place was mostly empty. The Receptionist was helpful and... More
