We read several reviews on this B&B and decided it was the place to stay in Te Anau before kayaking Milford Sound. We stayed in the upstairs suite and were very happy with all the accommodations. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting Helen, who took wonderful care of us. Our only regret was not spending the extra night after our kayaking trip,...

The room, kitchen and bathroom were very spacious and clean. The owner was very friendly and gave us good tips what to see and what to do. The Lodge is located very close to the lake (5 min walk) and the city center (10 min walk). We could have our breakfast whenever we wanted as everything was prepared in the...

This was our 3rd stop on our tour of New Zealand, we stayed two nights and I would have happily stayed a week. We stayed at 15 different accommodations and this was one of my favourites.
We booked the largest unit which was purpose built over the garages. Helen calls it a unit but it’s too nice to be called...

Helen totally spoilt us, not only was it inexpensive, we had a fantastic little suit that was exceptionally clean. Our room was serviced daily and had a great assortment of breakfast goodies. Helen is an amazing hostess who really takes pride in her product. Definitely a great base for Doubtful Sound or for you trip up to Milford Sound.
Not the best place we stayed in, but still acceptable. Only a short drive from the river, and overall the room was very comfortable, and there were ample room provisons for breakfast, which you made for yourself. We were looking for a lake view motel, but weren't at all disappointed with Antler Lodge. Nice and quiet, which is very important
Stayed here for 2 nights to visit Milford Sound. Definitely the way to do it, as visiting Milford Sound from Queenstown for the day requires spending more time in a bus/car than in Milford Sound.
Booked the large apartment upstairs that has a separate kitchen, large combined bedroom/living room and enormous modern bathroom. Great views all around as there are...

Stayed here just one night, four of us (2 adults, 2 children) before heading out to Doubtful Sound. It was clean, quiet, and the owners were very friendly and welcoming. The town had many interesting things to see and some good restaurants, too. The lake is utterly gorgeous and we wish that we'd stayed there a few more days to...

Helen provided a warm welcome, answered my many questions and recommended activities and places to eat to make the most of our short trip to Te Anau. We stayed in Unit 1 and it was great value, comfortable, clean and self-sufficient. After a big day driving to Milford, we appreciated the space to be able to eat our takeaway dinner...

We stayed upstairs in unit 3. It was very spacious & very clean. A lovely diy breakfast was provided in the fridge. We used our car to go to the lake front & town.
