My Husband and myself, along with an exuberant puppy , were welcomed at Ranelagh by Cheryl. Wow.... What a divine Heritage Homestead with wonderful modern facilities and all the Pigeons you can watch.. We were returning to Queensland after a family visit. Ranelagh was perfect. Spacious room, lovely towels , ( Very high on my list of wants/needs), huge modern... More

After planning a surprise trip for my father's 60th to Dubbo I had trouble finding decent pet friendly accomodation in Dubbo. That is how I cam across Ranelagh Bed and Breakfast, and I am glad I did. The house is beautiful and suited our needs of accomodating 9 family members (including two dogs). We could fill the kitchen with our... More

I was fortunate to spend 2 nights alone with my family therefore enabling us to enjoy what ranelagh has to offer to ourselves. If sharing with other families especially rowdy uncontrollable kids and party goers I could imagine it would be challenging to get some peace and quiet. Other than this it has character, activities that other b&bs dont usually... More

Beautiful period house circa 1850 with quality furnishings and original features. Felt like stepping back in time. Yes it's in what might be called a light industrial area but it's on spacious land and set back from the road so you don't notice that at all. Only one issue for me - 3 other families also there and a few... More

As a young Sydneysider, this was a near nightmare. There's not much choice in Dubbo, but any motel would be better than this B&B. Sure, it's a nice old property, wooden and complete with tennis court and (small) pool, but if you want a good night's sleep and relaxing experience, DON'T come here. Not enough light in the rooms to... More

This place is a must stay when in Dubbo. The 19th century architecture and furniture makes one wonder if Professor Plum did it in the library with the lead pipe. We stayed in the Fearon Room with ensuite facilities and it was just classic and comfortable. This trip was with my wife and more for pleasure than business. The kitchen... More

We stayed for two nights and loved the place. It is tastefully furnished with antique furniture that matches the homes vintage. It was so good we are returning there in June. I recommended Ranelagh to friends who were equally impressed.

We stayed for two nights with our puppy and found it to be amazing clean and peaceful! Our room was the Fearon Room with its own bathroom and was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. The whole house is gorgeous and there are lots of places to rest and read in the house and on the grounds. Peter met us when... More

Beautiful old home just outside the city centre. The rooms were lovely and spacious, the lounge room was welcoming with a fire set for the chilly night. Each of the bedrooms had plenty of heating. The continental breakfast was plentiful with a great variety of cereal, fruit, bread and jams. A lovely retreat for couples or suitable for a group.... More

After a long days travel we were disgusted to find that our bed appeared to have been remade from the previous guests. We found pubic hair in the bed along with long black hairs on the pillows. There was also dry blood stains on the duvet which appear to have been there for some time. To the owners credit he... More
