My first three thoughts: 1. Tired seaside apartments with a 95% obscured view. 2. A Motor Inn without available parking. 3. Overworked staff. As I checked in, the fellow on reception greeted me with a complaint about the previous customer. I am sure he was going to give the next customer a similar complaint about me. He gave me the... We stayed here to attend a wedding nearby and picked this hotel purely for its location.rooms were clean comfortable and quiet but the whole hotel is in dire need of a major revamp or rebuild .Shame because It is in a great position. Also found staff and breakfast were ordinary ( reception complained to us about other customers) but ......got the... I have stayed here a few times in the past few years, most recently this month. This is the most affordable hotel in the area; it is clean and unpretentious and who cares about a slightly tired decor when it is a 5-minute walk in one direction to lovely Nobby's Beach and literally just around the corner in the other... I was in Newcastle on business for 4 days. I stayed in a Standard room on the 2nd floor. It was perfectly clean. The bed was comfortable and the airconditioner worked well and I found the place perfectly acceptable for $145 a night.

Way overpriced. over $200 for the night including parking and a rotten breakfast. Great views, Ocean breezes but make sure you have all the windows wide open because the inside of the building smells bad. Old 1970's decor. Car Park is a joke. Some of the staff like the old grumpy man are in the wrong business also. As others... More

We stayed at this hotel as everything in Newcastle seemed quite expensive, however check in was not welcoming and the check out from a grumpy old man wasn't the best way to end a stay either! Wasn't asked how we found our stay etc and cannot believe they have the nerve to charge $15 per night extra for parking on... More

considering I paid extra to get the standard room instead of the "older style room" I was disappointed with the quality of the room. Room was very tired and the bathroom was like something out of a caravan. I'm glad was only 1 night and for work not pleasure. Wouldn't go back. paid $159 which I don't think is that... More

Everything about this hotel is very old, but service is friendly. I had a corner room which had great views on two sides. The bathroom is very old school and the shower is in the bath, and the shower head was at my breast level and i'm 185cm, so even bending down to wet hair was hard! Also a window... More

Hello! We appreciate you taking the time to review our property. Your comments on the shower over the bath, the height of the shower head, and in particular the faulty blinds have been noted. We’ll get maintenance on to the blinds issue right away. Just a few things we need to clear up though: * Our car park gates lock... More
