We had expected a fairly high standard for this hotel given the price we had to pay for the room. I was disappointed the minute I opened the door, the room smelled like a blocked drain and the bathroom was damaged. Our bed was two singles pushed together and a lot of the fittings were either damaged or uncared for.... More

My husband and I had a very refreshing stay at this hotel, The location is superb and within wak\lking distance of the Hunter Valley Gardens and Village. The ambience of the hotel is impressive with a wonderful library and fireplace where we sat for refreshments in the evening. The Mecure Hunter Valley Gardens Hotel is well located for numerous wineries, Hunter Valley Gardens and other tourist activities. I attended the resort as a delegate at a large symposium and both the locality and attention to detail by the staff was excellent.

Reception warm if slightly inefficient: key was not registered correctly, requiring a second visit to reception. Room: furnishings adequate but tired.
