It's more of a pub than a hotel - rustic charm and food. Central location. The rear courtyard is excellent for a relaxed breakfast or afternoon drink. Rooms are ok.

Attended at Oscars on Saturday 3rd March 2012 for a function in the Long Room. The meals were excellent but would have to be by the pricing. Drinks a bit pricey and the room needed some sort of ceiling fan assistance as a lot of the gusets were going outside for some fresh air. Apart from that, very enjoyable.

We had a very nice overnight stay in Oscar's hotel. Although there was a function on that evening, the staff were kind enough to ensure us the noise would finish by 12pm, 12.30pm at the latest. I had recently had lunch at Oscars. My first time. The location is perfect as it is right in the centre of town. If your are looking for a reasonable priced tasty meal with very friendly staff in a great location try this.
