The rooms were old, tattered and reminded me if my grandmas house. there was a creepy cat roaming around everywhere (my partner has bad allergies) that was leaving fur everywhere - unhygienic. The bed... More

Olembia is not far from the tram and st kilda beach, the place is really nice and the people who run the place are great. Un shuttle can dérive you from the airport to Olembia house. The house, the room and common parts are really quiet but you can meet people. rooms are warm but big enough and clean but... More

It's the nicest guesthouse one could ever stay at! very quiet, cosy and clean! Friendly people, just peaceful and a good location! I spent 5 days there and enjoyed every single one of it!

Okay. What Olembia has going for it is charm. It is a big house with really chilled out guests, a cat that rolls around in front of the open fire in the lounge and lots of cups of tea and chatting in the kitchen and reading in the lounge on the sofas. It's a friendly place with a happy owner... More

I very much enjoyed my five nights here. It is very handy for the tram into town. The manager is extremely helpful and nice. The showers and kitchen were kept clean. There is a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, and it felt very safe. I would highly recommend this place.

We had been traveling n Oz quite a bit and staying in hotels was starting to burn our budget. We therefore picked Olembia off the strength of the reviews below. I feel the balance of the reviews here is exactly right. This place isn't luxury, it isn't glossy and it does feel a bit old and tatty in places but... More

In the nice St. Kilda, a very nice, clean guesthouse. Stayed here for 4 nights, when we left it felt like leaving home ;-)

Thanks very much for the homely feel and quite atmosphere. The location and area was ok. I enjoyed the kitchen facilities and how friendly everyone was. The cat was an added bonus!! I would stay here again, I wish more dorms were like yours.

Our extended stay at Olembia was like a home away from home. The staff were very friendly, genuine and informative. The fully equiped, clean kitchen was a dream to cook in, even when in use by other guests. It is spacious, well laid out and plenty of pots, pans, etc. Storage for groceries is in large plastic bins, with labels... More
