We returned to Kaikoura in April and were welcomed back by Daryl. We got Cottage number 5 which has a wonderful view, and as expected it was absolutely immaculate. The boys enjoyed the DVDs from the very large library, and we enjoyed being able to sit out on the deck and enjoy the view (with a nice glass of Sav... More

Our family loved staying here. The cottage was clean and modern. Even though it was a very cold night, the cottage was warm and cosy. If the weather had have been nicer I would have loved to put the gorgeous courtyard to use. The host was also lovely.

We only stayed here for one night and soon after arriving realised our mistake that we should have omitted Nelson from our trip and had at least two nights here instead. We received a really friendly welcome from the owner Raewyn who showed us to our timber cottage (No 8). We loved the modern furnishings, two beds and the porch... More

The 4 nights we spent in Kaikoura Cottages will remain as one of our more memorable stays during our 3-month holiday in New Zealand. These perfectly clean, self-contained units are serviced daily and provide every comfort. The managers were extremely helpful in sending back some of the belongings I had left. Kaikoura Cottages is definitely a good value for people... More

We stayed for 2 nights in February 2012 with a 1 year old and were extremely well looked after, being provided with both a cot and highchair. The unit was modern and very clean and had everything we needed. The units are very well laid out, providing lots of privacy and great views of the mountains. Overall, incredibly friendly and... Beautiful cottage in wonderful surroundings under the spell of lavender perfume. Hosts allowed us to use fresh herbs from their garden to season our fresh seafood we cooked on the BBQ. Quiet peaceful place. Fresh cooked bread with home made jam and lavender honey as well as farm fresh eggs for breakfast. Heaven!
