“Peace and quiet and not too far from Queenstown”

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights, to recharge our batteries and to be not too far from Queenstown. We chose a 1-bedroom unit upstairs. It suited our needs perfectly as the price reflected a slightly dated place, though very functional. The kitchenette has a 2-hob stove, microwave oven, fridge and enought utensils and pots/pans for our stay.... More

“Clean, comfortable and a pleasant place to stay.”

We used this motel as a base for visiting Queenstown, for which it is quite convenient. We had a first floor, one bedroomed unit which was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The parking is a short distance from the units but this wasn't a problem for us. We stayed for two nights and found it very pleasant and relaxing.

“Find somwhere better”

We travelled for 2 weeks through the south island and this was the only accomodation we were disapointed with. Was $210 a night for three bedrooms which was most expensive place we stayed. Motel was small and old. WHen we asked the lady in reception what to do in arrowtown, she suggested we go to Queenstown instead. Very long walk... More

“You deserve better in Arrowtown”

NZ is full of fine small motels and motor lodges with new well kept rooms. The Golden View is not one of them. When you walk in you'll find that the sidewalks are old, cracked, and falling apart.
