Julie's Getaway is an overpriced camping experience. While the setting is beautiful, and the snorkeling and reef are nice, the facilities are sorely lacking. Gabby and Luis, the caretakers, try very hard to make the stay enjoyable. However, sleeping was difficult after my boys found huge black scorpions in their beds. No pictures of the inside of the place on the websites it advertises on anywhere. Now we know why. Julie's Getaways on Soliman Bay, Mexico, are extremely run-down. Termite infested (daily piles of sawdust from the palapa roofs coming down on tables and beds); two-inch gaps under the doors; screens on windows stapled on with 1/4" gaps; spiders, scorpions, lizards...
