Although the lobby and restaurant are nice, the room was very tired. There was scratched up furniture, the type of lighting you'd find in a garage and the TV did not work well. The bed however was quite large and comfortable. There are a few free parking spots, however parking is $12 a day which I think is a bit... More

This suited us perfectly for a weekend going to the football & visiting Canberra sights. The rooms, particularly the bathroom, however are really tired and the breakfast was slow and very very ordinary. Bed was comfortable which was the main thing, and the walking distance to Manuka was ideal for our purposes.

We stayed here for our wedding night, in the so called honeymoon suite. When we showed up we asked for a bottle of champagne and were told room service was closed (I was wearing my wedding dress and obviously needed a drink) they didnt even suggest that there was wine in the mini bar. the concierge then asked for money... Stayed one night –too many. I have stayed in motels in one horse towns that were cleaner and and a more comfortable bed. Thick film of dust on everything. Air cond couldn’t be used as it made a gurgling sound. Shower had tepid water only. Room faced onto atrium where the hotel restaurant was – so noise until after midnight... More

In Canberra for business conference. Pre-booked. Fast, hassle-free check-in. Hotel passage-ways and rooms look a little tired - doors chipped, toilet cistern chipped, bed head-board very dated, but....excellent bed, good sound-proofing, and very large bedroom. Bathroom slighlty larger than most. What I don't understand with hotels such as this, is that they are quite expensive for the "room only", then... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We are currently investigating upgrading the hotel as we are aware that the rooms and common areas are in need of some love and this should happen in the near future. I will be personally speaking to our staff at reception, as I do think you are correct, that they... More

We booked in with no hassles, reception were friendly & happy to assist, as we had arrived late at night after a long drive. Walking into our room was a bit disappointing. My initial reaction was to say how big it was, but then we noticed how dirty the carpet was & how chipped & tired the furniture was. The... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. It’s a shame that your first impression of the room was poor, if you would like to advise me of your room number when you stayed here I can pass on to housekeeping, that the carpet had not been cleaned properly. We understand that the furniture in our rooms is... More

I was in Canberra for few days at a conference, and enjoyed my stay. The staff were very friendly, and helpful, and the location suited my needs very well. Canberra can be a funny place, and it was hard to find any nearby places to eat, so I was forced to order room service for dinner. It turned out to... More

We stayed over the Easter weekend having booked two rooms on wotif.com, one for my wife and I and the other for her parents. First impressions weren't great - the young staff although pleasant enough were pretty casual and lacking in the kind of presentation and polish expected of a good four star hotel. When we got to our room... More

Got a greal deal because I was able to combine my Rewards points for 1 night with an extra two (called ahead to make sure we didn't have to change rooms). This was on the Easter weekend as well. Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. Your comments are important and I will be following these up with Housekeeping and the Health Club. The service was average and the room outdated and very dark. The bathroom was particularly old and unsafe with a shower in the bath and shower curtain and no fan extractor so all fogged up when in use. There was not enough light to read by day or night! We received a wake up call one morning at 5.30 that... More
