We hired a car to go to the Hunter Valley, so therefore didn't need to be in the heart of the vineyards, and opted to stay in the town of Cessnock instead - 10 mins drive away. Stayed one night. Room spotlessly clean and comfortable. Free wi-fi with excellent signal. Staff friendly and helpful. Ideal location for Wine Country tours. Close to all club entertainment, restaurants and shopping centre. Great stop-over Brisbane to Sydney run. Definitely stay again and highly recommend to others.

This hotel looks out over the supermarket car park but if you positioned yourself in a certain way on the bed, you can look at the palm trees in the small park opposite instead! The exterior doesn't look like much but the inside has been recently renovated. It's modern and clean. It's right in the center of Cessnock surrounded by shops. There isn't much in Cessnock but the motor inn is a great alternative if you are on budget and can't afford the expensive accommodation in the Hunter.

Reception staff was good, helpful and went the extra mile. Position excellent, major shopping centres within 3 mins. Wineries with associated restaurants etc all within 10k. Cessnock Supporters Club next door with usual amenities. Club owns the Motel.
