We had a group booking of 11 rooms for one night last week. Mona, the owner, very kindly allowed us an early check in and had the central heating on in the rooms for when we arrived which was much appreciated. “Clean and tidy- a pleasant experience”

Looks are deceiving with Alkira motel. Rooms are clean, tidy and beds are comfortable. I had the room on the end closest to the road and it was very quiet. “Perfect Location”

I recently spent 6 nights at the Alkira as my daughter was riding in a competition at the nearby showground. We booked this motel after reading reviews and thought it would be good. A mistake. The room (and batroom) was a good size but is serious 1970's decor, with dark timber panelling, dark carpet and the brown tiles in the bathroom. “Very pleasant motel”

Over July/August 2012 I lived for a month in this motel. It's a clean and friendly motel and I'd be happy to recommend people to stay. 500m to the centre of Cooma. The rooms were always warm and the bathroom has permanent heating in winter.

“Quiet Warm and Hospitable”

We arrived late on sunday afternoon, cold and dark. This was a welcome find. Even though it is on the main road it is very quiet, as it is set well back around a courtyard. “Clean, comfortable and quiet Alkira”

We have stayed at Alkira several times now and each time it has been a pleasure to stay where it is clean, comfortable, warm(in Winter) and quiet. After a tiring day on the ski slopes, it's reassuring to know that you are returning to a warm, quiet place that will ensure a good night's sleep.

“A delightful overnight stay”
