We stayed here recently & would strongly urge others to not book here until a refurbishment has taken place. I know they pride themselves with being with the whole 1920's theme; however I didn't think this would also include the last time some of the hotel was cleaned. The bed was quite simply the worst I've ever witnessed in a... More

PHOTOS ARE DECEIVING Dissapointing, rooms are in need of a good clean, dirty and dusty, bathroom very dated and not very clean.Lots of double adapters and extension cords in rooms, not really safe. Very dusty, musty smell on entering the building. Restaurant was not open as advertised, spa closed for maintenance ( thought this would be done earlier in the... More

We stayed two nights and I found this hotel to be good value for the price. It has everything you'd expect from a 3.5 star hotel, with perhaps a touch bit more wear and tear on closer inspection. Some areas could do with a reno, but the lounge area with the comfy armchairs deserves top marks. Couldn't fault the breakfast... More

In my opinion this hotel is very overpriced for what you get. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a friendly girl in a quirky 1920s hat. The lounge room and downstairs area is nice and relaxing but the positive experience ended there. The hotel room is quite 'run down' looking and basic. On renting a baby cot... More

We booked into the Blue Hotel for a (over 40's) boys weekend where we went Abseiling and canyoning for a day trip. We were greeted and given a tour of the hotel in a warm friendly manner. The room was clean and the water was hot. This is an old hotel and it is dated yet very clean and totally... More

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights - from the outside it didn't look really appealing. Once we went inside, it was a pretty beautiful hotel, you definitely feel the 1920s vibe - the furniture, the atmosphere, the music, the wallpaper, everything! The staff were absolutely lovely. We were given a short tour of the hotel... More

The hotel staff and management help make this quaint and wonderfully historic hotel unique. Yes, room was small but had everything you need and that is expected of a hotel that is 93 years old. Dinner in the cafe was fabulous. Rita (?) the chef's Pot Pie was to die for. Drink prices in the bar, cafe and restaurant were... More

Downstairs is lovely, although some pieces of furniture are too modern & out of place. There are some beautiful antiques & it's simply beautiful & definitely like stepping back into time. However, upstairs the floors squeak considerably & it appears as though it requires some TLC. We stayed in an adjoining room. Both rooms were very small. Just enough room... More
