On our roadtrip down the Great Ocean Road, we stopped overnight at Chatby Lane in Lorne. This hotel is not in the town centre, it is at a turn off to the right just before you reached the town centre. However I do not see this as a problem as most people would have a car if they are driving... More

We stayed in one of the motel rooms. Clean and well equipped. Price included breakfast, delivered on a tray to our room. Good attention to detail and Karen a very gracious hostess and very helpful. Definately recommend a stop here when driving the Great Ocean road.

My husband and I stayed here Jan 2012 and were just going to stay in the B&B room. When we arrived doug told us for another $20 we could stay in an apartment as there was one free. This absolutely made our stay in Lorne heaps better and we decided to buy seafood off the pier and eat it in... More

My husband and I stayed here at the end of January as a start to our tour of the Great Ocean Road. We stayed in a lovely apartment on the top floor that was beautifully appointed and had a view of the ocean from the balcony. From the moment we arrived, Karen and Doug were extremely helpful and went out... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights in the luxury spa apartment. The room was a good size but lacked a little character. The balcony had some views of the ocean and was only a short two minute drive to the main street of Lorne. The hosts were lovely and gave us some good tips on where to... More

We were on our honeymoon along the Great Ocean Road, when we stopped in at the Lorne Visitor Centre and they recommended Chatby Lane. We were pleasently surprised and very happy to have found such a lovely place to stay, as we hadn't made a booking, but Doug offered us a lovely ground floor studio apartment, at a great price for... Chatby Lane is a small couples-oriented inn just up the hill from downtown Lorne, a sweet little town at the eastern end of the GOR. We stayed here as an overnight arriving from Melbourne and were super-happy with our choice - it was by far the best accommodation we had during our 3 day trip. The inn is low-key and... More

We have been to Lorne many times but this is our first time to stay overnight. It is refreshing to choose a boutique hotel over the big one. The reception is unattend most of the time but that doesn't affect their service. You only need to pick up the phone on the wall and they will come to you in... More
