Despite being a couple of kilometres from the centre of Lorne's busy shopping and dining Esplanade, Qdos Treehouses are set in bushland and feel hundreds of kilometres away. Each one is beautifully finished, with nice touches like the bathroom counter made from a polished tree, handmade cups and ramekins made on site, and the shoji screens and tatami mats. Other... More

We stayed at Qdos in winter 2010. The room itself was TINY. We were asked to remove our shoes before entering. The bed took up approx 20% of the entire floorspace (inc bathroom and kitchen area). The room was very difficult to heat. The shower leaked, making the floor slippery. The water temperature for the bath was luke warm. If... More

The first thing my husband said when we arrived at Qdos was, "WHERE do you find these places?" We stopped in Lorne for a night last March while driving The Great Ocean Road. Lorne itself is a lovely little town, but we decided we wanted to spend a night a bit away from the town itself, and so selected Qdos... More

I wanted to take my wife on a relaxing break for her 40th birthday and I was looking for somewhere special. Qdos fitted both those requirements and I was very pleased I made the choice. On arriving at Qdos about four minutes from the centre of Lorne, we both felt the stresses and strains of city living draining away. The... More

We spent one night at the Qdos Arts Treehouses and loved it. Very peaceful. No TV, no music - just the birds and a wine opener. The attention to detail is incredible. No stone is placed without thought. The bed and linens were top of the line comfort. The treehouses are in a park with a sculpture garden. We could... More

My partner and I stayed at Qdos for one night and found the accommodation to be very unique, it's not your normal bed / breakfast. The treehouses are high up in the hills, so you get a good view of the forest, and the room interior has a real Zen feel to it. Great service in their kitchen/dining room, their... More

Great tranquil location. No TV or Telephone made it very peaceful. Just sat listening to the Koalas in the trees Bit of a walk up and over the hill from Lorne, but we didn't mind that. Areas for improvement: - Stayed for 3 nights and the room was not cleaned or touched once we had arrived - Qdos is closed... More

The Japanese inspired treehouses are absolutely gorgeous. It is so peaceful (no television or radio, just the sound of the wind and birds) and full of wildlife. A friendly echidna came to find his breakfast outside our treehouse on one of the mornings we were there. We would recommend this stunning place to anyone...well anyone who is fit enough to... More

We stayed at Qdos in January 2006, being referred there by Lorne tourist information office. Qdos is primarily an arts venue. It is very cool and very stylish. The rooms are actually japanese style treehouses (accessed up a steep path from the main Qdos building). They have no TV, no music BUT they do have a really calming ambience up... More
