Wow! Just spent an amazing w'end with the crew at Gagaju Bush Camp! Thanks guys...amazing place, amazing people! My girlfriends and I thought we'd get the wagon out, hit the tarmac and see where we would end up..Well we thought we had stumbled into another realm, the middle of nowhere & we find ourselves sitting around a campfire, sharing adventures... Gagaju was great! Had a blast! Six others and I decided to stay a week after just arriving and seeing what it was all about. The guys that run the place are great guys. If you are looking for something different, then this is the place to be. I met a lot of great people on my stay there. It's... More

Gagaju bush Camp is a true Aussie bush experiance! I have travelled all over the world for work and for fun, my better half is a travel agent, 5 star hotels, backpackers & home stay's with villagers....been there done that. But when I want to chill in a real bush setting with no stress I find myself always back at... More

It is not your normal hostel as in is a bush camp but for what it is, it's great! Lovely atmosphere - people talking around the fire and cooking. Kept quite clean considering it is in the bush. Staff really friendly and take you in and out of the town. Great quarry with fresh water right next door. Really cheap... More

For 50 bucks (without voucher 90) 3 nights accommodation this is a good way to kill time with a bit of kanoeing while saving money, but it is not much more. It is not a tour at all!! You have to buy your own food. They do not guide you at all and in the camp there is nothing to... More

Gagaju is everything you would expect from a bush camp, basic but clean with good facilities. In terms of your canoe trip it is exhausting as the river is tidal but generally a nice place! Also special mention to the staff who went out of there way to look after me whilst i was feeling ill one day. They really... More

Loved this little place. Not bad for $50, you get the 3 nights accommodation and canoe hire in that price. Now lets realise here it's a Bush Camp not a 5 star hotel! Saying that the guys were friendly always saying hi, evening and good morning. The kitchen is amazing and by far the most well equipped I have been... More

I got this camp trip for free with another package which is probably the best thing I have to say about it. The guys that run it are rude, miserable and appear to have a strong dislike for backpackers which encourages them to continuously threaten to keep your deposit. The 'dorm' accommodation is ok and the tents are what you'd... More

Booked in for an exciting 3 day/2night canoeing and camping trip at gagaju bush camp. Got picked up at the transit centre by David who ensured I had enough food for the 3 days out in the camp. David gave excellent background and knowledgeable information during the trip out to the bushcamp and couldn't have been more than helpful!! Got... More
