We stayed in the deluxe room on the top floor, a very spacious,  quiet room with views  over the Vltava River.   There are pine floors, which squeak like the dickens, and heavy, all pine furnishings which gives the room a definite Czech look.    Unfortunately there is no mini fridge or coffee maker which we think is an oversight.... We had a wonderful 2-night stay in Pension Barbakan. Fantastic location. Really friendly receptionist who spoke fluent English. We were fortunate enough to have a car park directly in front of the main building. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our 1 night stay. The room was clean, bed okay, lamps rather dim. The room we were in Number 1 looks right out on the street so it can be and was noisy. The host and hostess were very nice people and the breakfast was quite pleasant. I would definitely stay there again, in a different room.

We were pleased that we chose to stay at Pension Barbakan. It was a particularly good choice as we had a rental car and were able to have one of the two parking spaces by the Pension.
