Kristina the Reception Manager was extremely helpful and nice to deal with! The hotel was very clean and was as advertised. The hotel had a nice atmosphere with period artwork and furniture. It was close to transit so getting around was easy and there were lots of good dining options.

Staff is rude, cleaner seemed the friendly one. Facilities poor half of the things that hotel with 5 stars should have had was not in a room, ended up running and asking for it. The service is so poor beyond the ground, their star rating has to be re-qualified they certainly don’t reach to five star hotel 3 if lucky. I got attracted to interior design. I cannot call my stay as pleasant.

We stayed here in October 2016 but forgot to leave the review until now. The hotel property is located in an area that's safe and convenient enough to the subway station and shopping district, and it's about 10 minutes walk to the old town. We loved the hotel a lot--both the room and bathroom are clean and spacious. The staff is courteous and helpful--we had a wifi problem and they immediately came to fix the router in the room. The decoration might seem a bit aged but nonetheless lovely and gave the hotel a nostalgic atmosphere. We especially enjoyed the breakfast with the made-to-order main course. If we go to Prague again the future, we'll consider staying here again.

This was our one successful break for 2020 and the hotel exceeded our expectations. Everything was impeccable, wonderful service, very comfortable, amazing breakfast served in the room due to Covid-19. Prague is beautiful and the hotel is located in a quiet area, with all main attractions within a 20-30 minute walk. Lots of shops, bars and restaurants much closer. We would highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed here for a little less than a week and the front desk staff were the first thing that stood out to me. So friendly, caring and enthusiastic. I’ve yet to meet anyone whose service came close to theirs! The hotel itself is charmingly decorated. My room (single occupancy) was small, but clean and the bathroom was incredibly modern. Breakfast was a delight. Not only was the spread large and tasty, the waiters (squee!) also came to ask you what you’d like off the special breakfast menu. Coffee and tea were made to order and brought to your table as requested. It’s located close to a subway station and Prague’s public transport system is both cheap and reliable. If you like walking, it’s a nice walk alongside the river to get to the city center. Overall, an amazing place to stay. Worth every penny.

The decor is definitely quirky however..... This hotel is brilliant. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. This is probably one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in and we did try hard to find dust and dirt but failed.... The breakfast is very good with lots on offer for all tastes. Because this is a small hotel they remember if you want tea or coffee and do you want the same item from the menu? With only 20 rooms this hotel is cosy but they tick all the boxes of a huge corporate hotel but with a personal touch. This small boutique hotel is close to Andel tram and underground which gives you quick and easy access to all parts of the city. Don’t forget to explore Andel which is a young up and coming area with amazing restaurants, bars and great shopping.

On the other side of the river to the main attractions, The Hotel General is none the less in an easily accessible area. The rooms are very clean. Breakfast is nice, served in a separate room. Lots of eating/drinking places nearby, seemed a safe area. Tip! Use Uber from station, local taxis are a huge rip off. Special mention for Martin, who made our stay special.

The hotel takes its name from various military generals from history, Napoleon, Caesar, Grant etc, with the rooms furnished from the particular period of that general. Beautifully decorated with a luxurious feeling, not like any of the large corporate hotel chains. Staff are excellent, very friendly & helpful. Nice breakfast room with an excellent buffet & hot breakfast menu served friendly waiters. While the hotel is located in the old industrial district, beside the Staroprammen brewery, and approximately 30 minutes’ walk from Charles Bridge, it is approximately 400 m from the main bus station (191 bus takes you’re here directly from the airport) & several tram stops are with 5 minutes’ walk of the hotel, so access to the city centre & all the sights is very easy. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.
