“Communist but comfortable”

Once you get over the post-communist decor (which is part of the charm really), and the slightly less upmarket location, it's a decent hotel, with friendly staff (not all who speak English, but we managed in basic German/Polish) it's a good hotel, excellent breakfast, clean, comfortable and within walking distance of the main areas of Lodz. Hotel very nice, friendly service at the reception. Quiet neighborhood for people who want to sleep and not junket. The only limitation is the building itself and the years in which it was built, but it is clean, friendly staff, close to the center, parking. For a two nights at this price is enough. I recommend. More

Stayed at the Mazowiecki on business March 2007 and found it quite nice.It was my first time in Poland and wasn't quite sure what to expect. I know what you're thinking....What was the food like?
