Very good location, easy to get to from airport by bus and walkable from central station. Close to supermarkets, shops, the old town, everything really. The hostel is basic, the staff are nice but it's not a place to go of you like hostels which organise nights out/events etc. Rooms are ok but you can escape the noise of the... More

To be honest rooms and service are OK, but if you want to simply book a night in here and just don't worry about your trip anymore, this is the wrong place and you should stay away from it. I've been here once and I was lucky then, because their booking software had crashed so my reservation was invalid, but... More

Good location, very cheap, few steps away from nice coffee shops and etc. Would recommend the place for budget travelers. However the beds are not the best, old bed-sheets, but for the price it's ok. I had no idea there was also breakfast at the hostel, although I stayed there 3 days. That's a good thing. The city itself is... More

There is a noisy street and the matress was not in the best condition, but despite of this having a bed and shower for €6 plus breakfast for €1.50 in a place from which you can easily walk to any central part of the city? It is a very good value for the price. So if your needs are basic... More

The hostel is about a 30 minute walk from the train station and easy to find. It is fairly centrally located near the university and not far from the reconstructed old town. Got to the hostel and range the buzzer for about 15 minutes with no response, felt stranded. This only happened on one other occasion in my comings and... More

Booked this place up about 3 months ago for 2 nights to co-incide with the World Cup qualifier game, Poland v England. Quick and efficient communication. Only a short walk from the main town, but ever so close to the stadium. Appeared to be fairly new, or at least had had a recent lick of paint. Clean rooms & bathrooms... More

Good value for the money. We stayed in a double room and it really looked like a 3-star hotel. Everything was very very clean. Staff was cool too :) Breakfast was not that good but what can u expect for 5 zloties? ;-)

I stayed in a double room (ensuite) and was disappointed, Check in was fast and friendly enough, Then it was up 2? 3? flight of stairs with my suitcase. The room was not very large, and contained nothing but an uncomfortable bed, a lamp, a small Ikea coffee table and a single stool. A few wire hangers hung from the... More

I spent there a few days and to be honest, it was definitely one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in! Location in the city centre, clean rooms, free laundry and Internet access, no curfew, tasty breakfast, nice garden - what else do you need? :) All the receptionists were really helpful and nice, trying to make our stay... Official Description (provided by the hotel):
There's no doubt that the Tamka hostel stands out above other accommodation in Warsaw. One of the biggest advantages is its superb location - the building is just around the corner from the most popular streets in the city, Nowy Świat and Krakowskie Przedmieście, and a short 15 minute walk from the Old Town. What does this mean? Put simply, you are within staggering distance of countless clubs, bars, pubs and restaurants.Other attractions of the capital city are also nearby: the business centre, shopping malls and numerous monuments - the Royal Baths included! With all these attractions around, you probably won't just be hanging round the hostel. That being said, it's good to know what this place has to offer: private rooms for 1, 2, 3 or 4 people (with or without bathrooms) as well as single places in bigger rooms: for 6, 8 and 10 people. We take care that the type of room and furnishings of the hostel suit each visitor - although the classical backpacker is well catered for because hostels are made primarily for them. That's why you'll find, amongst other things:- A common room with DVD player - an ideal place to relax and have a chat,- Free internet access (as well as wireless internet connection),- A fully-equipped kitchen,- Free coffee and tea,- Barbeque facilities.Because of the varied standards of our rooms and the many services provided on the hostel premises, our satisfied guests are also varied - foreign tourists visiting Warsaw, businessmen, organized groups and conference participants. Not only backpackers feel at home here! ... more   less
