Hotel President is a good hotel. The room was clean and the bathroom looked as though it had recently been renovated. Whilst a little basic it was very quiet and comfortable. I recommend it as a place to stay in Budapest. The hotel is located centrally near to the Parliament building and the river. I didn't get to explore much... More

Stayed here with a group of guys as part of bachelor party weekend and were very happy with it. Good value for money, great location and service. Would stay there again without hestitation. Free wifi on ground floor - but not reaching the rooms, where it's only by cable (but still free). A few computers are available for guests in... More

I stayed here for an anniversary trip in April 2012. Some websites say it is a 4 star and others say it is a 5 star. I got to the bottom of this and the receptionist stated that all rooms are 5 star but depending whether your deal includes the Wellness Center and breakfast determines what is is sold as.... More

Well placed central hotel with modern and efficient rooms and public space. Some odd behaviours of staff did not detract from good service. Food - eat out as great restaurants nearby. Breakfast okay. Good shower, soft towels, clean room if a bit cold Air con not seeming to work.

If you are doing a short break in Budapest, with not much time to go around the city, this hotel will cater to your needs. We were in the city only for a weekend, not much time but wanted to cover lots of old places, and we were able to do so because the hotel is located very close and... More

I stayed here for a week on business. The hotel is centrally located and walking distance to cafes and restaurants. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was relatively newly renovated. However, the rooms vary widely in size and quality and there were a few things not working in the room. Nonetheless, the staff was very friendly and responsive.... More

The reviews for this hotel are quite different, which is in line with my own experience. The hotel has a perfect location in a quiet street, close to the parliament building and the Basilique. The staff was excellent, friendly and very willing to help. A disadvantage was that we found hair in our bed which was definitely not ours, but... More

I stayed in the Hotel President for 4 nights in March 2012. The hotel is located in the parliament area of the city, about a minute's walk from the underground. It's very quiet, which is good - no traffic waking you up, but there's not much in the way of restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is very clean with similar... More

Perhaps it was the time of year perhaps it was the type of visitor but this hotel didn't have any kind of 'buzz; about it. The breakfast room was full each morning of my stay but the pool area, bar and restaurant were deserted, from late afternoon and through the evening. Budapest has a number of attractions and good eating... More
