We stayed at Carlton Hotel Budapest, for two nights in April 2012. Location of this hotel is excellent, few minuts walk from Buda castel funicular (wich will take you to Buda castel district famous for Fisherman*s Bastion and St. Matthias Churche, absolute "must see"!) and Chain bridge. Vaci street, wich is famous as shooping street is five to ten minutes... More

Perfect location for a trip to Budapest. It's a three minute walk to the Chain Bridge, three minute walk to Castle funicular, a city bus tour stops nearby, a five minute walk to the Fisherman's Bastion, and a twenty minute walk to Andrassy Utca. My room was clean, the bathroom was clean. The hotel lobby is quite lovely. The breakfast... More

Started with a great room deal at Kuoni Hotels; best rates by far and was able to pay at time of booking, which was ideal for budgeting. Emailed hotel with my midnight arrival and they provided impartial advice on local transport or sending a driver - driver met on arrival was very informative and friendly. My room was impressive, with... More

We stayed at Carlton for 3 nights in May 2012 and were very pleased with our stay. The hotel is located a new steps from the Chain Bridge, on the Buda side of town, conveniently located to main attractions. It's clean, modern, with good service, with English speaking staff. Hotel served decent breakfast and had free WiFi. We would recommend... More

We stayed here in a triple for three nights in mid-April and would not hestitate to return. The lobby is spacious, there is a nice seating area, a coffee bar, and three computers with solid internet access. The location can not be beat as it is on the quieter Buda side but almost at the foot of the Chain Bridge... More

The Carlton Hotel Budapest has some truly great points: location, easy access to great public transportation and a wonderful belgian beer hall/ restaurant right next door. However, as a professional establishment they do fall short in terms of helpfulness, professionalism and cleanliness. I was in Budapest to see the city and did not spend much time in my room, but... The location of the hotel is very good, right next to the River, near the Castle. Also, next door is a fantastic Belgian bar which serves great beer and food. The hotel was clean, and does a decent standard breakfast buffet (although some of the yoghurts were out of date). For this reason I would say it is good value.... More

The position of the hotel is just great for sightseeing, the Castle area is straight up from the hotel and everything is within walking distance. Breakfast was well thought out and a very good variety of food. The public transport was good and the staff were helpful. Very prompt Taxi Service to the airport. The room catered for all my... More

Unfortunately I enjoyed a rather poor stay at the hotel. I stayed with a group of professional individuals who's roles range from solicitor to company director to accountant. The average age of our party was 32. We stayed for 3 nights (Fri, Sat & Sun). Let me begin with the positives: Free Wifi is superb and the 3 pc's on... More

I wouldn't call it a 4 star, it's 3 star. The cleaners could be a little more thorough but other than that not much to have an issue with. Concierge generally very helpful. Whilst the location is a quiet one, our room was actually rather noisy, so take earplugs. Breakfast is a plentiful continental buffet. Free wifi was very useful... More
