Looks a little seedy when entering and climbing all the stairs! Security isn't amazing but there are lockers and we didn't have any problems. Its really basic but at that price and with a free breakfast it is kinda of hard to criticise!

Caterina hostel is hidden in a grat old building just in the center of Budapest. This place is managed by 1 dude. He cleans, he washes and make your bed. So you can imagine so much a person can do to welcome 20 something people. There were no proper reception let alone its own entrance or any kind of organization. Just good for the pocket for one night

Fantastic Hostel right in the downtown , our room was very spacious with modern ensuite , staff were exceptionally nice & very helpful , its close to everything you want , bars , restaurants & the metro is just 2 mins away , we would strongly recommend Caterina Hostel
