Uhu Villa was the perfect spot to spend my birthday and relax. The hotel (it's a big old house) is gorgeous inside and out, sits immersed in the forest covered Buda Hills and features a friendly and enjoyable staff. It's not far removed from the city, but frankly that wasn't the focus of our trip. Our trip consisted of leisurely... More

I have stayed in Uhu Villa for a long weekend in the begining of October. The hotel is indeed very nice and very neat. Price was quite ok (+- 47€/night) but no breakfast included. Customer service is very good and all staff is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are very comfortable and big. Location can be an issue. I knew... More

Uhu Villa is a charming hotel located in Buda Hills area. To get to it you have to drive up along a winding steep green alley, which is alone almost the "Sleeping Beauty" experience. The hotel is very picturesque and boasts Budapest vistas from the second floor. The building is dated cir. 1920s and has a true charm of a... More

We stayed for 4 nights on a leisure break in Budapest and were delighted with this haven of luxury and comfort. The refurbished rooms/suites are fabulous, very comfortable and excellent value with their special deal. The staff were charming, premises spotless and there is even a swimming pool and sauna on site. The building is an old villa with history,... More

An excellent hotel a tram ride and walk away from the city. Some nice restaurants a walk or taxi ride away and the staff can recommend some really good ones. The hotel serves an excellent breakfast. The hotel is set in amongst beautiful wooded gardens witha lovely hill top view. More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Uhu Villa in October 2008 for 4 nights. Upon arrival, we were struck by the steepness of the hill, and I know this is something a few reviewers have commented upon, but as we were 20 and 21 years old at the time it was no problem, felt quite good for the workout... I chose Uhu Villa because I was able to get a very good deal. It was a good decision because, while I spent most of my time sightseeing in Pest, it was easy to get to the hotel via the excellent and cheap transport system (though don't travel without a ticket anywhere - the inspectors are not so reasonable), and... My girlfriend and I recently visited the Uhu Villa on a quick city break to Budapest and thought it was fantastic. Yes, the hotel is not in the City centre so if you want that then stay elsewhere, we found the romantic seclusion of being up in the hills perfect and exactly what we were looking for. It's about 20... More

A rip-off. Located at the farthest edge of the city, they tell you that breakfast is included in the tariff when you check in, then say, "That was a mistake" when you check out; and proceed to charge you the earth for your breakfasts. The 3500 HUF they charge for breakfast will buy you an excellent dinner in a high-class... More

Dear Daft Bangalore, Thank you for your review! As a hotelier, exceeding the customers expectations is highly crucial for me. However I learned over the years that a complaining customer does the biggest favour for us, by pointing out areas that need improvement, therefore I must thank you for your opinion again. Emotions and perceptions are very subjective, I do... More

It sounds like a wonderful haven tucked away in a picturesque locale but once you cut through this and the tastefully decorated lounges, there's not much else Uhu Villa offers. For one it is far from the city centre and altho' a 10-15 minute walk to the tram stop, it's not a climb recommended with luggage or without (particularly the... More
